For more than two decades, Solimar International has worked with destinations, governments, nonprofits, and communities around the world to advance sustainable tourism as a tool for conservation and economic development. Their work spans continents and disciplines, connecting tourism strategy, destination management, conservation, and community development into a unified mission-driven approach. As the organization continued to grow, its website no longer reflected the scale or sophistication of its global impact.
The challenge was not simple visual refresh. It was a complete rethinking of how complex, international work could be communicated clearly to a diverse set of audiences, including development partners, government agencies, funders, and destination stakeholders.
Symmetry partnered with Solimar to redesign and rebuild the website from the ground up.
The new, robust platform focuses on clarity, structure, and storytelling. Information architecture was reworked to better show services, highlight project work, and guide users through the organization’s global portfolio without overwhelming them with complexity. The visual system was modernized to reflect Solimar’s international presence while remaining grounded in the real-world destinations and communities at the center of its work.
Built for flexibility, the new site allows Solimar to continue expanding its project library, publish insights, and evolve its content over time without compromising usability or performance.
